Hello and Welcome, Friends of King Middle School!

A group of KMS parents is embarking on a new effort to support King Middle School. We believe this is timely given the significant financial pressures facing the Portland School system and want to ensure that the school is able to maintain its extraordinary successes with 6th, 7th and 8th grades.

 

Our Mission:

 

• To support KMS through fundraising and community development events.
• To build community.
• To advocate for KMS in the Portland community including before the Portland School Committee and Portland City Council.
• To make it possible for every King family to get involved
• To have fun achieving our goals

How to get involved:

 

• Join the effort by signing up here
• Or, drop your name and address at the school office.
• The King PTO will establish a monthly meeting and communicate through it’s link on the KMS web site.

Make a tax deductible gift:

 

• This is a way for money to go directly to school. Think of it as a government match where you control the destination of your tax dollar. This is also an opportunity for grand parents, no gift is too small.
• Checks should be made out to KMS listed as a Friend’s contribution, dropped at the office or mailed to:

• KMS will respond with a letter of thanks that will serve as confirmation of your gift for tax purposes.
